"US and Israel attack Iran; Tehran retaliates across Middle East." Breaking news is appearing on Twitter saying that bombs have fallen on a U.S. military base in the city where I’m supposed to land.
The plane is still waiting to depart for Abu Dhabi. The moment a war begins is always sudden. The sky outside is still beautiful, quiet, and knows nothing.
